Walk down into the woods to collect Nature's treasures to make Clay Tree Spirits.  During the walk, we practice careful and respectful gathering, an excellent skill to learn for all ages.  

Discovering Salamanders under rocks at the stream.  Learning how to carefully place them back into their homes and create fun rock stacks using balance and strategy.  This day was wet and full of fun.

Walk into the woods discovering and gently collecting items to make forest homes for all our mythical and woodland friends.  Everyone learned not to disturb any living thing during our collection process.  

Walked down into the woods collecting items to make Natures boats.  We built and launched our boats at the wooden footbridge and had a blast following the boats down the stream.

We made musical instruments called Sistrums or Nature's Rattle with sticks and found bottlecaps.  Although not all our items are found in nature, they are found objects that are repurposed from trash to treasure. 

Learned a breif history of journey sticks:     . During our walk into the woods everyone searched for their own journey stick, and items to adorn it with.  Afterwards, we talked about the decorated items on their sticks and why they were special to them.  

We took a look closer look at Acorns and went on a scavenger hunt to collect them.  Then created our own Acorn Suncatchers with acorn tops and crackled glass beads for everyone to take home.
